Services
Therapy
Therapy is a valuable and transformative process that offers a safe and supportive space to explore emotions, thoughts and experiences. It provides the opportunity to gain deeper self-awareness, develop coping skills, and foster healthier relationships, leading to greater overall well-being.
I provide both individual and family therapy, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs. By integrating multiple therapeutic lenses, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT) and so forth, I aim to offer a flexible and personalised approach that respects your story and empowers positive change. I work collaboratively with you to address challenges and unlock your potential for growth.
My practice specialises in supporting individuals navigating ADHD, anxiety, trauma, and related concerns.
Whether you’re seeking to manage symptoms, improve relationships, or heal from past experiences, therapy can be a powerful step toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Individual learning support
The learning process can be a lot easier if you are aware of your learning style, improve your study skills, as well as your time management. With this support I assess your learning style, look at study and summary techniques, explore memory tricks and overall time management skills. This support includes addressing stress during examinations and working towards healthier coping strategies.
Parental and classroom support
When your child is facing challenges, it can become difficult to navigate discipline techniques and manage the home environment, as well as the parent-child relationship. These challenges can influence the classroom environment as well and support in this area can also be necessary. The practice offers support and guidance in these areas.
Workshops
I enjoy sharing information on a variety of topics that contribute to awareness and the prevention of mental health challenges.
Assessments
Assessments are a crucial part of gaining a comprehensive understanding and provide valuable insight that guides the most appropriate and effective support necessary to reach full potential.
The practice offers the following assessment packages:
1. Full Educational Psychological Assessment
This is a comprehensive assessment that includes cognitive, scholastic, perceptual-sensory-motor and social-emotional-behavioral assessments. It provides a comprehensive understanding of learning strengths and -weaknesses and clarify a range of possible concerns, such as learning challenges, attention challenges and so forth.
2. Cognitive Scholastic Assessment
This includes a cognitive assessment, as well as scholastic assessments. This assessment provides an understanding of learning strengths and -weaknesses and your current academical skills.
3. Cognitive Emotional and Behavioral Assessment
This includes a cognitive assessment, as well as emotional and behavioral assessments. These assessments provide an understanding of your learning strengths and -weaknesses, emotional well-being and possible behavioral and social challenges.
4. School Readiness Assessment
It is very important to determine if your child is ready for Grade 1, as the shift from Grade R to Grade 1 is quite extensive. This assessment looks at your child’s cognitive, emotional and perceptual readiness and guides possible support interventions necessary.
5. Career or Subject-choice Assessment
Whether you need to make subject choices in Grade 9 or explore the possibilities after school, these assessments can help you understand your aptitudes, interests, preferences and skills and help navigate your decision-making process.
